Parent Portal Instructions

Instructions for Parents in Setting Up an Account
You should receive a letter from the school with your children's Portal ID number by September 28th. This number enables you to enter our electronic grade book and view your student's grades and attendance. We encourage you to setup an account ASAP and monitor your children's work and attendance. Call your campus office if you don't receive this letter by September 19th.

You will only need this Portal ID number to initially setup your account. After you get your account setup, you'll login with a user name and password that you are going to establish.

You can get to the txConnect login page by going to Sam Rayburn ISD Home Page . At the top of the page, click on the Resources tab, then Parents. The first page will be a link to the Parent Portal (or Gradebook)and look like the image that follows:
 
Click the "New User" link to establish your user name and password. The user name and password are your own that you create. NOTE: Your user name and password must be 6 to 9 characters in length. In addition, your password must contain 3 of the 4 following requirements: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and punctuation such as ? or !. The school does not create them for you. After you click "New User", you will get the screen below.

This screen is where you create a user name and password. Make sure you include your email address. In the near future, the system will send emails to you when your student(s) drop below a grade level or other criteria that you set.

After you have completed the above screen, click "Next". You will be taken to a screen where you enter the student portal ID number and birthdate. You can enter more than one portal ID on your login. After you enter the first portal ID, click "add". That student has been added and the portal ID number is blank. Enter the next student's info and click "add" again. Repeat this process until you have added all the portal IDs. Once that is complete, you have successfully setup your account. If you did not receive a letter with your Portal ID numbers, or have lost it, call your campus office at 903-664-2165 for high school or 903-664-2005 for elementary to request another.

After you finish this initial setup, you'll only need to enter your user name and password to access your student(s) account.

PLEASE NOTE: If you attempt to access the grade book but are unsuccessful, after three attempts you will be locked out. The portal will reset in 20 minutes and you can login then.
